Set along a “walk street” of Manhattan Beach, this coastal residence was designed for a young family seeking a balance of beauty, comfort, and everyday livability. A ground-up construction built in collaboration with Lucas Studio and KAA Design (architecture), we shaped a home that feels relaxed yet refined—thoughtfully tailored to the rhythms of family life.

With attention to proportion, flow, and functionality, we worked closely with the owners to create a layout that fosters connection, both inside and out. Inspired by the couple's Southern California roots, the design embraces gathering and entertaining, with spaces that range from a welcoming front yard and courtyard pool to comfortable living areas designed to evolve.
As our understanding of the clients grew, we developed a cohesive design language that would later inform our work on their next home in Austin, Texas. While sophisticated in its detailing, the home is ultimately defined by how it lives: bright, comfortable, and deeply connected to both family and place.
