This Hillsborough cottage began as an outdated brick ranch and was fully transformed into a modern home for a younger couple and their two active boys. A down-to-the-studs renovation rebuilt the house with fresh character, inside and out.

Referred by a family member, we partnered closely with the clients to balance her love of color with his more neutral sensibilities.
Abstract-patterned wallpaper evokes ocean waves, nodding to the owner’s Bay Area roots. An open living and kitchen area now forms the heart of the home, while a newly painted white exterior brings timeless appeal.
In back, a pool and sport court create an energetic retreat for family and friends. Throughout, the design blends contemporary energy with traditional charm, pairing modern finishes and bold hues with classic architectural details.
